I have a purple mattress (level 3) and had been using the purple mattress protector for a couple of years. On the one hand, it was definitely waterproof, but on the other hand, the material was loud and not breathable. I wish I had tried a different mattress protector like this one much sooner. While I haven’t tested how well it protects against liquid, it’s already an upgrade as far as comfort (in both feel and sound). My only complaint so far is that it’s not really as cooling as I was hoping for. While it does breathe better than the purple protector, I still sometimes get hot. I don’t think this protector is *causing* the heat, I just wish it did a better job of cooling. I would try this out if you’re unhappy with your mattress protector!
