The mattress needed about 8-12 hours to fully expand but was full and evenly smooth.It's a firm mattress but for those who prefer a softer mattress, it's not unbearable.I slept well on it and believe over time it will soften with use.Nice and comfortable.It Durant give the best sleep. I ended up buying a thick topper to make it more comfortable.I bought this queen memory foam mattress as an upgrade and I am super happy with this purchase. The mattress was very well packaged and arrived on time in excellent condition (thanks Amazon!). It came rolled up in a heavy box, and was easy to open with the included tool. Once the bag was open, it only took a few hours (8-10 hours according to the manual) for the mattress to expand to its full size. There was absolutely no smell and we were happy to start using it right away. It has the perfect firmness -- soft enough to be comfortable and firm enough to support the body well all night. There is no gap between the body and the surface of the mattress, making it very comfortable for both back and side sleepers. We used it with a mattress protector (from Amazon as well) and it breathes well.We have had the mattress for over a week and have been sleeping well every single night. We will be buying the same brand when we need to upgrade other mattresses in the future.We really wanted to love this mattress and it was our first memory foam one. It is harder than we expected so be aware of that. Other than that the mattress is great quality.You can not return it after you opened it, I wish they would have made that a little more clear but the customer service was top notch!If you like a little harder mattress this is probably a great one for you!For the price, this is a great memory foam mattress. We just recently moved and since our master bedroom is super huge now, we needed to upgrade from a queen to a king so we needed to buy a new bed. After many nights of researching, we decided on a memory foam mattress and I'm very happy I got this bed. We've had this bed for several weeks now and I wanted to be certain I'm happy with it before writing a review. I especially love the firmness of this mattress. As a side and back sleeper, this bed provides the right amount of support. Definitely happy and will probably be purchasing a queen size also for our guest bedroom.For the price, comfort level and all things included in having a way better mattress then I had. I have to say this is one of my top buys off without having to step inside a store. The mattress is of a medium firmness.The very low odor smell (completely normal with these types of mattresses) when it was initially opened, dissipated in about 30 minutes.Once I opened the mattress it took about 5 minutes for it to fully expand (although the instruction do say that it takes about 24 hours). Personally am very satisfied with my purchase.I really love this matress because the last one that I had was spring matress and believe that with the years the matress lose his frimness but right I'm sleeping like a king because it's from foam, thicker and has cooling and for this summer is the perfect combination to have a excellent night. the only thing that I would change is the squares in the top but I think thats like something more personal. The rest is amazing!
