I have yet to sleep on it in a camping environment (since it's now 17º at night around here), but testing it out on the floor it seemed adequate to me... maybe more than just adequate. I've owned many air mattresses and air beds. they were either way to bulky, too large, too heavy, or they had leakage problems even when brand new because of the cheesy synthetic materials and seams. This design has become popular recently and it's easy to see why. Very lightweight and compact. Will nearly fit in a glove box. Hard to tell about resistance to rough surfaces, but that's what tarps are for. In any case, it looks and feels durable enough to flop down on bare ground. I like that 2 of these will connect together, for obvious reasons, but also large people will find that a convenience I'm sure. Overall, I'm giving it 5 starz all the way until I'm convinced otherwise. The price is competitive so if you're someone who believes higher price equates to higher quality, there are other companies and prices to explore, most having very similar sizes and features.
