No one has given any complaints about the Mattress Protector being hot. We have gotten no stains on the mattress in months so it is doing its job. It fit the queen size mattress really well. It is well made and does what is expected of a mattress protector yet is comfortable for our guests so I can say that if you are needing a mattress protector I can recommend this particular one.It's so rare to find 100% cotton these days so I really appreciate that about this mattress pad/protector, and it's also quiet to move around on. The padding is not very thick but sufficient to not slide around like the sheet-weight protectors tend to, so it's a good choice if you're trying not to change the feel of your mattress too much.Note that although fully elasticized, the pocket sides are made of the same non-stretchy cotton as the top. The sides are 15 inches deep and I think would work best on a mattress no more than about 12 or 13 inches deep max.Sewing is good overall but could have been a little neater in the finishing details—I found a number of loose threads and knotty end clumps in the seams of mine, including one spot where one thread was ended and another begun without any overlap or the thread ends secured in any way. I tied them off together and clipped the ends, and I do recommend going over this to check for any sewing issues before first use.Note that although this is machine washable, it must be air dried—or can be dry cleaned instead.The YATAS BEDDING Perle Queen Size Quilted Fitted Mattress Protector was ordered for an older teen's bed. The other teens got their beds and bedding upgraded. That teen did not because they should fly the nest soon, however we are having a failure to launch situation. The older teen was sad they didn't get an upgrade on bedding. We realized that teen did not have a mattress protector. Hence, the order.We like that this protector has a quilted top that adds some extra softness to the bed. It's breathable. No night sweats! No crinkling noises. Mattress protectors have come a long way!The YATAS BEDDING Perle Queen Size Quilted Fitted Mattress Protector washed perfectly. I did not test it in the dryer, as I do not dry my protectors. I hang to dry over drying racks to help keep the backing of the protector in good shape.Does it protect the mattress? We tested with water and hooray, it does!I can't find anything to complain about so here's my five stars! It does not make any crinkling noises. And there are no weird chemical smells. I did not test it's protective properties - but I am confident that it would do that job too.Overall, I am happy with the purchase.This is just perfect. The stitching on the corners is solid and it stays put!The top has a lovely silky feel to it. Adds a pleasant layer of plush to my mattress, without being too much!
